PROHS HORIZONTAL STEAM STERILIZER FJ

“PROHS Horizontal Steam Sterilisers use steam inside a vessel under pressure, for the complete elimination of all living microorganisms, by controlling temperature and pressure. Through fast and uniform heat transference, PROHS Horizontal Steam Sterilisers are an indispensable tool in places where high levels of sterilization are required.

The PROHS Horizontal Steam Steriliser is designed for sterilisation of materials used in Laboratory facilities (instruments, textile accessories, infusion fluids, rubber products, beakers etc). The steriliser is designed for fast, efficient sterilisation of heat‐and moisture†stable materials in addition to sterilisation of items for immediate use.

The steriliser features an innovative cooling water recycle system which reduces the fresh water demand by several hundred litres per cycle. This results in longer optimal performance of the steriliser, using less consumables and reducing expensive maintenance and downtime, resulting in a stress-free environment for Laboratory personnel, and enhanced turnover maximizing Laboratory productivity.

The PROHS sterilisers are designed to cope with high demand environments. These sterilisers have been installed in hospitals in over 50 countries and on 5 continents. ECO JEMSS are the proud suppliers of PROHS Equipment and PROHS’ global reputation is a testament to the quality of their machines. These sterilisers feature state of the art technology and components, ensuring that breakdowns are minimised.”

Technical Characteristics

  • Materials – Chamber, jacket, and doors built in AISI 316L stainless steel, highly resistant to corrosion. External panels in AISI 316 stainless steel. The steriliser’s body is sustained by a heavy structure in AISI 304 stainless steel.
  • Thermal Insulation – Achieved using mineral wool, coated with an external protection in aluminium. The temperature on the surface of the external panels in stainless steel AISI 304 and doors never exceeds 450°C at a room temperature of 230°C.
  • Doors – Automatic vertical sliding doors, pneumatically operated and equipped with a safety device in accordance with EN285.
  • Water Saving System – Special water deposit, designed to reduce the overall water consumption of the equipment.
  • Vacuum Pump – Liquid ring type, reduces the cycle time and increases its performance.
  • Electric Box – Consists of highly reliable control and power components. The equipment operates an energy-saving system to achieve optimal energy efficiency.
  • Gauges – Easy visualization of the working pressure in the steam generator, jacket, and chamber.
  • Colour Touch Screen 10” – Allows real-time view of all the stages of the sterilisation process. All operating commands are automatically done on the screen.
    • Cycle Selection
    • Opening and Closing the doors
    • Alarms (Visual and Audible)
    • Several menus (technical area, calibration, configuration, alarm storage, etc.)

Safety Features

    • Safety system stops the door from closing if there is interposition of objects.
    • The sterilisation program does not start when doors are open.
    • Doors do not open simultaneously.
    • Doors do not open when the Steriliser is under pressure.
    • Self-diagnostic reports through visual and acoustic indications.
    • Safety Valve – Operates as a security system to avoid excessive pressure inside the chamber, being duly certified.
    • Emergency Button – Completely stops the Steriliser.

Components Characteristics

  • Microprocessor – The steriliser is fully controlled by the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), according to the operating program selected by the user.
